Matthew Jeppsen of FreshDV recently sat down with Bandito Brothers' CTO/Director Jacob Rosenberg and Director/Cinematographer Shane Hurlbut for a conversation about DSLR filmmaking. The discussion spanned the spectrum, from the filmmakers' history of experimentation to the emergence of today's go-to cam, the Canon 5D, and what lies ahead.
Rosenberg, who developed a passion for film and video as a skateboarder in the early 1990s, brings his extensive experience as a filmmaker, author, and digital media expert to commercials, music videos, and shorts. Hurlburt, an accomplished cinematographer whose credits include Terminator: Salvation, recently joined the Bandito Brothers directorial roster. Both filmmakers recently contributed to panels at NAB.
Raging Artists founder Hesh Rephun was also on hand, to offer his perspective on PR/web marketing and the audience's embrace of advancing technology in a new age.
