Executive Producer, Square PlanetIn 2008, inspired by the changing face of commercial production and the unique company model developed by director Tim Damon, Caroline von Weyher joined Damon Live Action, Inc., as Executive Producer. The move reunited her with director/photographer Damon, with whom she worked previously, at Millennium Pictures. The pair continued this industrial evolution in November 2009 by merging Damon Live Action and Damon Productions to create Square Planet, an integrated production company and a turnkey solution for advertising.
A graduate of Michigan State University with a BS in Marketing and an Advertising Minor, von Weyher has a varied and impressive commercial production background.
During the 1980s, von Weyher worked as a writer and producer for various ad agencies in Michigan and Los Angeles, including Solomon/Friedman/Detroit, JWT/LA, and Bates/LA, to name a few. She opened a creative boutique in Newport Beach, CA, counting KMS Haircare Products, Dicker & Dicker Furs, Ferrari of North America, Sunset & Westwood Marquis Hotels, Range Rover, Jaguar Sportswear, Fashion Island, Catalina Island Tourism Bureau, Westin Hotels and ITT/Canon among her clients.
In 1991, von Weyher accepted a position as a producer for Yessian Music, where she was involved in the company's re-branding effort and the opening of their studio in NYC. Productive tenures as a producer at Baron and Baron Music and as an Executive Producer at Producers Color Service followed.
In 2002, von Weyher signed on as Executive Producer at Millennium Pictures/Detroit. Working closesly with owner Richard Gagnon, she helped the company open its Toronto office and headquarters in Santa Monica. At Millennium Pictures, Von Weyher executive produced projects such as the new Chevy "Car Hauler" (Matt Murphy, Director /Campbell Ewald/MI), Ford "Trilogy" (Scott Gillen, Director/JWT/Presentation Works/MI), and Xavix "Baseball" (Charlie Watson, Director/Cramer-Krasselt/CHI).
Work executive produced by von Weyher has taken home numerous honors, including: Caddy Awards for the Henry Ford Museum (Solomon Friedman/MI), US Navy (Global Hue/MI), and the Buick Open (McCann Erickson/MI); and Sunny Awards for Southern California Jaguar Dealers and Ellesse Sportswear.
