Scott Flor

Executive Producer, Creative Monster Productions

After graduating from Boston College with a degree in communications, Scott Flor moved to Martha’s Vineyard and worked as an apprentice to a wooden shipwright before heading to Hollywood to work in the motion picture industry. Intent on learning everything he could about film production, Scott took any position he could find, working on film sets in every capacity from production assistant to set decorator to assistant camera to assistant director. He worked for advertising agencies, special effect houses, optical houses, feature film production companies, and, of course, music video and commercial producers.

Scott gave up his freelance status to accept a position at Propaganda Films, where he produced many of the company’s music videos, including clips for such artists as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mark Knopfler, Prince, Fleetwood Mac and Tina Turner, as well as commercials for clients such as Peugeot, Kodak, Nissan, GE and Plymouth. In the process, Scott worked with many of Propaganda’s award-winning directors, including Michael Bay, Mark Romanek, Jean Baptist Mondino, Stephane Sednaoui, and of course the company’s founding directors Greg Gold, David Fincher, Dominic Sena and Nigel Dick. When Propaganda closed its doors in 2001, Scott had worked his way up to Head of Production.

Scott joined top production company Headquarters Films as Executive Producer for award-winning directors Joe Public and Lloyd Stein. He soon took on that role for partner/director David Cornell and the rest of the company roster. Scott worked across the ad agency spectrum on campaigns for such clients as Sprint, Toyota, Mini Cooper, AFLAC, Chrysler, Mercedes, Visa, Nissan, Ford, Canon, Allstate and T-Mobile, to name a few.

In addition to his commercial production background, Scott’s professional experience includes serving on the Board of Advisors and as the executive producer for Pelagique, a medical film production and simulation company founded by the Medical Directors of the UCLA and Stanford Emergency Medicine Departments.

Scott has been instrumental in cultivating the directorlal roster at Creative Monster Productions, and brings his deep experience to the selection and execution of their work, and the development of their careers.
