Jamie Sterba

Director, Creative Monster Productions

Jamie Sterba makes his mark by blending his cinematic taste with subtle comedic tones. “I’m always after original concepts with humanity first and foremost,” he explains. Jamie’s first assignments with Creative Monster Productions are a pair of broadcast projects for McDonalds, and a 3-spot viral campaign for the Xbox/PS3 game WET; that campaign’s centerpiece is a macabre, campy, musical spot titled “Shot at Love,” that has been embraced by gamers and critics alike, and been hailed as the “Best Viral Ever.”

Jamie worked his way up in the camera department, earning TV and Film gigs under directors such as Ron Howard and Ang Lee. Inspired by his experience working in Moscow with Mikael Gorbachev, Jamie directed his first spot, for KCRW.com, depicting war-weary Soviet soldiers stuck in the Russian tundra; the spot garnered a theatrical release and strong reviews.

At Creative Monster, Jamie finds himself getting the career development he’d been looking for and the work he hoped to win: character-driven concepts that keep the audience curious and amused.
