NEW YORK, NY, October 6, 2008 - Oscar and Peabody Award-Winning Documentary Taxi to the Dark Side premiered on HBO September 29. The film was co-produced and edited by Sloane Klevin of bicoastal Union Editorial.
Taxi to the Dark Side is a feature-length documentary about an Afghani cabbie who died in U.S. military custody. The film raises disturbing questions about interrogation techniques and U.S. wartime policies. It earned director/writer Alex Gibney his first Oscar, and marked his second Academy Award nomination, following 2005's Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room.
Klevin recently garnered acclaim as editor of the video for Grace Jones' Corporate Cannibal. She has just completed a global Toyota brand campaign - "Less is More" - via Dentsu America and directed by Lenard Dorfman of @radical.media.
Taxi to the Dark Side airs again Thursday, October 9, at 9pm EST, and can be viewed anytime via HBO On Demand. The film is currently available on DVD.
